ATFC Takes Its Final Bow
In 1971, Walter and Diane McGauley created Actors’ Theatre For Children with one goal in mind: to produce low cost, high quality, live theater for the children of Sonoma County. After forty-five years, hundreds of performances, thousands of smiles, and echoes of children laughing later, we close the curtain on this remarkable company.
On May 9th, the ATFC board of directors voted to dissolve the nonprofit organization.
Actors’ Theatre For Children would like to thank the hundreds of volunteers we’ve had over our long history. Because of your hard work we were able to provide the magic of live theater to the most worthy of audiences: our children. We would also like to thank The City of Santa Rosa Recreation & Parks Department for their longstanding support of our company.
We’ve been honored to work with some of Northern California’s finest actors, directors, stage managers, and crews. Together we’ve shared laughter, tears, challenges, and triumphs. It has been an amazing journey. And we are so proud of the legacy we leave behind.
